Godrej & Boyce has partnered with Locator India’s ‘How to Festival’ as it seeks to foster a culture of innovation and independent thinking among the next-gen architects. The ‘How to Festival’ founded by LOCATOR- a platform dedicated to shaping the architecture community in India for over 30 years, targets the learning needs of architectural students through a series of interactive presentations by companies from across diverse industries like construction, appliances, MEP, security and more.
Multiple businesses from Godrej & Boyce, operate in industries to shape spaces that impact lives. As part of the company’s effort to build an environment that is not just favourable today but also in the future, the flagship company of the Godrej Group, has in partnership with LOCATOR, designed a curriculum that will help shape over 1000 final year architecture students as environmentally conscious and technically skilled professionals. The program helps students experience live projects, challenges, and new industry techniques through interactive sessions with industry professionals.
Godrej & Boyce will be engaging with over 20 colleges through the last week of January and February, 2022. The students will be taken through some of the tools and techniques used by the company’s design, product and business experts form Godrej Interio, Godrej Security Solutions, Godrej Locks, Godrej Appliances, Godrej Electricals & Electronics. This will include methods to visualize spaces inside a home, security considerations, MEP solutions for infrastructure projects, Green Building solutions and green appliances for a more sustainable future. The Company is also hosting a student portfolio competition that will result in a fellowship program with Godrej Design Lab.

Through the years, Godrej & Boyce has undertaken several corporate social responsibility programmes to uplift the youth. This includes training underprivileged young people under Project Disha. The Company has also improved the quality of education of over 6,800 children. The Company proposes to focus on new areas of training in the future. This includes women-centric trades for training centres and training related to Internet of Things, Industry 4.0, and enterprise resource planning.
