India Power Corporation (IPCL) is a leading Indian energy company offering a one-stop shop for power generation, distribution and renewable energy. The smart grid is a major focus area for the company, using Smart Meters and Internet of Things (IoT) devices in digital transformation initiatives. Offering such digital services to other power companies is a long-term strategy.
Another key move in the IPCL digital journey is the adoption of SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to improve reporting and analytics and run IoT apps in the distribution network.
