ReNew Power to manufacture solar cells
Plans to meet domestic renewable energy demand of 15,000 MW
ReNew Power is planning to start manufacturing solar cells and modules with an initial investment of Rs 1,500 crore to Rs 2,000 crore in the sector.
The initial plan for the Gurugram-based company is to start with a manufacturing unit of 2,000 MW and later scale it up.
ReNew Power plans to meet domestic renewable energy demand of 15,000 MW, which is expected to grow to 20,000 MW in the next few years.
The company recently reached a total power generation capacity of 10,000 MW, out of which 5,600 MW was operational.
