IIID signs MoU with CREDAI, ISHRAE, IGBC, FSAI & IPA on World Environment Day

With this MoU almost one lakh members will be reached through all the 5 associations

Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI), Fire and Safety Association of India (FSAI), The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), Indian Plumbing Association (IPA) and Indian Society of heating, refrigerating and air conditioning engineers (ISHRAE), to boost sustainable practices for a better tomorrow.

These special communities came together, not only for professional networking, but also for giving back the noble profession, and society at large! This MoU is not just about saving our surroundings but was also about being acutely aware of our responsibilities towards our planet.

The web event held at June 5th was an attempt to explore and respond towards a sustainable planet through joint events, discussions, research programs and innovations. The event witnessed renowned speakers like Jabeen L Zacharias, president, IIID; Vasudevan Suresh, national chairman, IGBC; Suresh Menon, national president, FSAI; Gurmit Singh Arora, national president, IPA; Satish Magar, national president, CREDAI; and Richie Mittal, national president, ISHRAE.

The deliberation was focused on enabling green cities for the environmental movement. The aspects such as water and sanitation, energy efficiency, sustainable design-oriented workshops, research programs were also highlighted during the webinar. Post-COVID 19 hygiene is going to be very important so plumbing is also crucial for clean water and design is an important aspect of it.

Magar said “Nature is sending us the message to care for nature and it is our duty to educate the children of our society fora better tomorrow. Growth without sustainability will leave our future generations bereft of the fruits of development. With the objective to identify and implement various environment friendly innovations and solutions for scripting a sustainable growth story, CREDAI is at the forefront to transform the real-estate landscape and to create a greener and healthier world for our future generations. The partnership with IIID reiterates our commitment to a healthy and safe environment. Post lockdown, as we re-start building the nation together, it is imperative for us to commence our operations responsibly.”

“The present situation caused due to COVID, has compelled us to introspect, that our resources are limited, and therefore pooling and sharing alone will optimise our productivity! In this new paradigm, it is a survival of the quickest to embrace change, and reinventing the new mantra for success!” said Zacharias.

With this MoU almost one lakh members will be reached through all the 5 associations. This collaboration with various associations will result in working towards a shared goal, with a passion to add value, to existing systems and opportunities!
