The sudden shutdown of businesses has upended the lives of millions of migrant labourers in Indian cities. With businesses shut down in cities across the country, vast numbers of labourers were suddenly without food and shelter. However, here in Rustomjee all necessary care and precautions are being taken by the management.

Initially a team of Rustomjee employees stayed near to the site. These volunteers collected all the necessary information of labourers living in labour camp and their daily needs.

After understanding the demand and quantum, it was decided to distribute essentials such as rice, grains & vegetables. Rustomjee till date has delivered 500 kg rice, 70 kg grains, vegetables such as potatoes 50 kg to the site laborers staying in labour camp at Rustomjee Global City, Virar.

Also to cater their need of hygiene, 10 soaps and 8 hand wash bottles were also distributed after explaining to them the importance of the same in this critical situation.

In addition to this, they ensured that 24X7 electricity and water is available to labourers at Rustomjee's labour camp at Rustomjee Global City, Virar so that they can stay safe during this period. The company is also paying electricity and water charges for the camp.
