Three of Mindspace Business Parks, the commercial business from K Raheja Corp, offering Grade A office spaces across key locations in India, have been awarded The Sword of Honor by British Safety Council at the event hosted recently at Merchant Taylor’s Hall, London. The three parks are Mindspace Airoli East (Mumbai Metropolitan Region), Mindspace Madhapur (Hyderabad) and Commerzone Yerwada (Pune).

To compete for the Sword of Honour, an organisation has to first achieve the highest rating of 'Five stars' (92% score or above) in the British Safety Council's health and safety audit. During the audit, the organisation must demonstrate to the auditors that they excel in health and safety management across various facets of the business. The audit comprises on location sampling of operational activities and interviews with staff and stakeholders for real time feedback. While occupational health and safety at the Business Parks was the key focus, it also offered a structured path for continual improvement towards best practice status.

Organisations from around the world who have achieved five star rating in British Safety Council Five Star Audit are invited to apply for The Sword of Honour Awards. This year, the winning organisations came from a wide range of industry sectors in the UK, Europe, India and the Middle East, including construction, education and training, energy generation, food and drink, leisure, logistics, manufacturing, retail and transport.

Vinod Rohira, MD and CEO, commercial real estate and Mindspace Business Parks REIT, said, “At Mindspace Business Parks we are directed by the principles of good governance, accountability, responsibility and transparency which sets us apart. The Sword of Honor Award is an endorsement of the commitment we make to our discerning clients to deliver Grade A workspaces which have all elements of health and safety woven into them.”

He added, “We stand committed to the philosophy ‘safety is good business’ by seamlessly integrating it into our operations. This award goes a long way in encouraging the team to continue to strive harder to deliver world class workspaces for India’s emerging workforce to thrive in.”
