Vardhman Special Steels plans expansion of rolled steel capacity

Vardhman Special Steels has planned to expand the rolled steel capacity from 2,00,000 tpa to 2,80,000 tpa at Dhandari in Ludhiana district of Punjab.

The scope of work envisages upgradation and expansion of its existing plant by technological upgradation of the steel melting shop with electric arc furnace and other downstream processing facilities. The project will entail an investment of Rs 159 crore.

In September 2019, Vardhman Special Steels applied for terms of reference (ToR) for the project.

The project is still under planning stage.
