bauma 2010 to have 15,000 sq m more space
The organisers of bauma 2010 are planning to increase the total exhibition space for the fair to 555,000 sq m. This will be 15,000 sq m more than the record exhibition space of 540,000 sq m in bauma 2007. Messe München, the organiser of bauma, plans to do it by erecting additional, temporary halls.
"This development shows that in a tough economic climate bauma remains a milestone in the trade fair calendar of the sector, and that this sector is determined to demonstrate its innovative capabilities at the world´s leading trade fair," said Eugen Egetenmeir, a member of the management board of Messe München.
In terms of exhibition space, bauma is considered the biggest trade fair globally. It is an international trade fair focussing on machinery, equipment and vehicles for the construction and associated industries that takes place once in every three years in Munich, Germany. The 2010 edition will take place from April 19-25 at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre. bauma 2010 will offer additional exhibition space to the product sections on ‘Formworks and Scaffolding’ and ‘Construction Equipment and Tools’.
