Atlas Copco appoints Nitin Lall as new GM
Atlas Copco (India) has announced the appointment of Nitin Lall as general manager of the company’s newly setup construction technique customer centre in India. He will take up the post with immediate effect.
Nitin Lall holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Gulbarga University. Nitin joined Atlas Copco as a management trainee in 1993 at New Delhi. In 1999 he moved to Pune and has held positions as area sales manager and key account manager. He was promoted to regional manager in July 2003 and then business line manager for construction tools in Jan 2012.
The new customer centre will focus on sales of construction equipment and related aftermarket activities. The newly formed customer centre is based in Pune and will serve the entire country with trained service teams at all locations.
“An engineer with over 19 years’ experience in the construction industry, Nitin will bring unique depth of experience to this new position, having previously served in the construction and mining technique customer centre for Atlas Copco. With his strong customer focus and his knowledge of the construction market, Nitin is very well suited for this position,” said Henk Brouwer, president, Construction Tools Division.
Nitin said, “I am very excited on getting this opportunity of setting up this customer centre in India. My priorities shall involve setting up all aspects of the organisation: marketing, sales offices, business control and after market. My biggest challenge will be to focus on increasing both our market penetration and market shares for a sustainable, profitable growth in the fast developing markets of India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh.”
