Afcons Infrastructure bags key project in Bahrain

India’s leading infrastructure company Afcons Infrastructure Limited has bagged one of the most crucial and prestigious project worth BD 25 million ($66.3 million) from Ministry of Works, Kingdom of Bahrain. The project, construction of 3-level Highway Interchange, is a challenging assignment as a two-lane flyover will be built on an existing highway—the entry point to Bahrain between the King Fahad Causeway and Khaifa bin Salman Port. The flyover will have an under-pass (tunnel) for three lanes in each direction.
The project needs to be completed in 28 months of time. The Company’s order book is in excess of Rs8000 crore. Commenting on the prestigious order bagged by Afcons Infrastructure Limited, Ramkrishnan Ramanan, Director, Transportation, said, "This project provides us a gateway to Bahrain and thus is very prestigious for us. We already have executed projects in more than 10 countries in Middle East and Africa with repeat orders in few of them. We are sure that our focus on technology, innovation and execution excellence will take us places."
