Adani to supply power @ Rs2.64 per unit

Adani Power Maharashtra Ltd (APML) has decided to supply power from its upcoming 1320 Mw plant at Tiroda at Rs 2.64 per unit to the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL). According to company sources, the rate is most competitive vis-a-vis the board’s agreements with other private sector power generation companies. The company has agreed to supply 1320 MW power for the next 25 years at the same tariff.
With this, the Maharashtra grid is expected to ease the severe power crisis in state. A company release further stated that all the clearances needed for the project including those from Ministry of Environment and Forests, Defence Aviation and Civil Aviation (for chimney) and Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) have already been obtained.
