ACC inaugurates Thondebhavi plant


ACC Ltd has inaugurated the Thondebhavi Cement Works in Chikkaballapur district of Karnataka. This ACC’s second new cement plant in Karnataka. Dr. M Veerappa Moily, Hon’ble Union Minister of Law and Justice formally inaugurated the plant.
Being a Greenfield Project, Thondebhavi Cement Works becomes the 1st cement plant in Chikkaballapur district of Karnataka and the nearest plant to Bangalore. Installed at a capacity of 1. 60 million tonnes and a cost of about Rs 350 crores, this plant will produce fly-ash based Portland Pozzolana Cement.
ACC also owns Wadi Cement Works in Karnataka which is the largest cement plant of India with a total installed capacity of 5.79 million tonnes.
