Maihar Cement to augment capacity of Sonwari unit

The capacity will be augmented through upgradation of plant utilisation

Maihar Cement is planning to expand cement capacity from five million tpa to six million tpa at Sonwari, Sarla Nagar, Maihar in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh.

The capacity will be augmented through upgradation and optimisation of plant parameters/capacity utilisation. The project will entail an investment of Rs 989.11 crore. It will provide direct employment to 340 people.

In April 2018, the terms of reference (ToR) was granted for the project.

In January 2020, Maihar Cement received environment clearance (EC).

The project is still under planning stage.
