India's First Monorail - Scomi Group conducts successful trial run of India's first monorail car for the Mumbai Monorail project on January 26, 2010. The project which is expected to be completed by 2011 is a 20-Km route between Jacob Circle and Chembur. It will have one central depot and about 18 user-friendly and highly secured monorail stations. Each monorail with 4 coaches will have a capacity to accommodate about 600 passengers thereby carrying nearly three lakh commuters on a daily basis in the proposed route. Pic Courtesy: Scomi Group
