Electrical equipment maker Siemens launched 10 value-based products under its 'Smart' portfolio, taking the number of such products to 20.
The newly-launched products are targeted at a range of verticals like aviation, power distribution, building, infrastructure, healthcare, material handling, manufacturing and industrial applications.
Under the Smart portfolio, which stands for simple, maintenance-friendly, affordable, reliable and timely-to- market services, Siemens plans to launch another 10 products in next year.
The order intake for the Smart products doubled in 2011 as a percentage share of total new orders from 5 per cent in 2010, to over 10 per cent of total order intake, he said, adding the company has set a sales target of Euro 1 billion by 2020.
