Thomas TEO takes charge as Chief Executive Officer of Ascendas India.
Ascendas has announced the appointment of Thomas TEO as Chief Executive Officer of Ascendas India, effective April 1 2011. Teo takes over from Lim Sin Tiow, who will be moving back to Ascendas Group’s Singapore office to assume the role of EVP, Real Estate Services.
India is one of the key markets for Ascendas and has grown significantly both in terms of expansion within the existing IT Parks as well as increasing its footprints in the country. Currently Ascendas have eight projects spread across six cities. The company said it is poised to further increase its footprint in India which will provide customers even more high quality business space options for expanding into more cities.
Teo has been associated with Ascendas for over 15 years at various senior leadership roles managing Ascendas' portfolio of properties in Singapore.
He has over 20 years of working experience in companies including DBS Land and OCBC Property Services. Thomas holds a Master of Science degree in Construction Management from the University of Bath, UK.
Lim Sin Tiow will still be associated with Ascendas India operations as Board member for various Ascendas properties in India.
Teo will be based out of the Ascendas India HQ in Bangalore.
