RS Gujral takes additional charge of NHAI Chairman

RS Gujral, Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has been given the additional charge of Chairman, National Highways Authority of India. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved giving additional charge to Mr Gujral for a period of three months (w.e.f.1st January, 2011) or till a regular incumbent takes over, whichever is earlier.

The present Chairman Brijeshwar Singh, on his superannuation on 31st August 2010, was re-employed as Chairman, NHAI, on contract basis, first for a period of three months which was later extended by one month (till 31st December, 2010).
