The 137-room hotel in Delhi, which dates back to the 1950s, had undertaken the energy efficiency audit, conservation and sustainability programme with the help of Trane.
The renovation was needed to replace ageing equipment, and to maintain consistent temperature & humidity. In addition, it wanted to ensure sufficient cooling capacity to support renovation of rooms to host tourists expected for the Commonwealth Games.
“Trane is dedicated to collaboration with the hotel to ensure that all aspects of the system’s economic life, from installation through repair, improve efficiency, increase building comfort and reduce energy costs,” said Rajesh Sikka, Managing Director, Trane India.
The company said the project involves installation of high efficiency and, CFC free, chilled-water systems to accommodate the increased load and ensure run-time equalization.
