The Rs1300 million-contract is for the supply and installation of electrical Balance of Plant solutions for 2x300 MW thermal power plants in Warora Taluka, District Chandrapur, Maharashtra. The project is coming up in two phases of 300-mw each in Warora.
Under the contract, Areva T&D India will manufacture and install a 400/220 kV Air-insulated Substation (AIS), as well as power and distribution transformers and switchgear equipments.

The Warora Independent Power Plant is scheduled for commissioning in September 2011. This is the fourth such eBoP contract for Areva T&D India in the last two years.
