Railways revenue up by 4.24% during June 11-20

Railways’ earnings during the period of 11 to 20 June, 2010 has gone up to Rs2385.28 crore from Rs2288.15 crore last year during the same period, registering an increase of 4.24%.

The total goods earnings have gone up from Rs1545.29 crore during the same period last year to Rs 1611.21 crore this year, showing an increase of 4.27%. The total passenger revenue earnings during the same period were Rs 686.87 crore compared to Rs655.11 crore last year, reflecting an increase of 4.85%. The revenue earnings from other coaching amounted to Rs64.57 crore during this period compared to Rs57.67 crore during the same period last year, showing an increase of 11.96%.
