Pune-based ElectroMech has announced adding light weight HB crane system to its existing product line. The company has tied up with Abus, a European crane manufacturer, to produce this range in India. The HB cranes cater to a wide range of load handling applications from 80kg to 2000kg and are used extensively in the automobile assembly lines.

The product is also used in tool room, work stations, machine shops, light fabrication shops, for handling smaller components in a store and multiple access areas through point to point coverage by curved tracks.
Tushar Mehendale, Managing Director, ElectroMech, said: “Our latest offering, the HB-System, features a combination of advanced technology, economy, flexibility and quality. The market size of light weight crane systems is estimated at Rs50 crore and it is expected to grow at 15% every year. We are hopeful of providing our customers with solutions which are both practical and cost-effective.”
With its modular design, the company said, the system can simply be tailored to provide cost-effective solutions for user’s applications. “This series of cranes feature an extremely low-build design, ensuring that maximum hook height can be reached in the space which is available. The drives and hoists provide a variety of electrical functions for more rational, safer working – with low noise, smooth starting and lifting and smooth switching between speeds,” it said.
