Chetan Dave has been appointed as President & CEO of IDFC's Real Estate Investments
IDFC has appointed Chetan Dave as President & CEO of Real Estate Investments. In this role Mr Dave will be responsible for building & developing a portfolio of infrastructure focused real estate assets and a real estate private equity funds management business. Mr Dave will also serve on IDFC's Management Committee. The appointment is effective immediately.

Chetan brings a wealth of experience, and an impressive track record in the sector. He is ideally placed to drive our efforts in building and leading our Real Estate Investments business."
Mr Dave brings over 19 years of experience in the real estate sector spanning private equity, investments, development and design. Prior to joining IDFC, he was the founding Managing Director & CEO of Sun Apollo Real Estate Advisors, the largest real estate private equity fund in India at the time.
In his role he was responsible for raising the fund and establishing the business in India. Prior to founding Sun Apollo, Chetan Dave held the position as the Chief Investment Officer at the Houston based Transwestern where he was leading a national principal investment and development business. Earlier, he was a Principal with JPMorgan Parters in New York for seven years focusing on private equity and real estate investments throughout United States.
He also served on the Investment Committee of Peabody Global Real Estate Fund. Prior to joining the financial services sector, Chetan Dave was a practicing architect for several years and designed numerous commercial and institutional projects in eastern United States.
He has served as a Board member of several investee companies. He is a member of Urban Land Institute, Member of the Board of Trustees of American School of Bombay, past member of American Institute of Architects, Pension Real Estate Association and Executive Committee, ULI Houston District Council.
