Government and industry are looking at more than doubling our steel capacity. Is it feasible?

FICCI is organising a conference on 'Challenges for Indian Steel Industry in Infrastructure & Resources', jointly with the Ministry of Steel. The conference will be inaugurated by Shri Virbhadra Singh, Hon’ble Minister for Steel.

The Conference is being organised with the following objectives:
Understand the needs and requirements of steel producers in infrastructure
Understand the expansion and growth plans of steel sector in India
Understand the development and expansion plans of various infrastructure providers from Shipping, Roads and Railways segment and examining the adequacy
of these plans in the context of steel industry’s growth forecast
Understand the efficient ways of using existing resources like land, water etc.
Understanding the distribution network of steel industry
Examining the efficient and cost effective distribution models to cater to the demands of steel consumers
