Surya Roshni has opened a new manufacturing facility at Kashipur, Uttarakhand to scale up its production capacity. The company has made a total investment of Rs550 crore for the project, out of which Rs100 will be spend for manufacturing T5 Lamps, CFL, FTL, PCB, HID and PVC Pipes. The state-of-the-art facility, the company said, will be equipped with advanced machineries imported from Japan, US, Theydon of Austria and other countries. The plant will manufacture high quality tube lights that can save 85% electricity.
The Surya group has five manufacturing units— two in Kashipur (Uttarakhand) and Gwalior (MP) which produce lighting products such as Tube Lights, GLS & CFL Lamps and Metal Halide Lamps; and three in Bahadurgarh (Haryana), Bhuj (Gujarat) and Gwalior (MP) which are basically steel pipe units. It also has a ‘Lighting Laboratory’ and R&D centre in Noida.
Surya is upgrading its manufacturing facilities with latest equipments to become a total lighting solutions company that cover all types of energy saving lamps and consumer luminaire for home, offices, street lighting, industry, railways, airports etc.
