National Highways needs 63,211 hectares land

The government would require a total of 63,211.721 hectares of land for expansion of National Highways projects across the country.
The Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways RPN Singh said the main six states which have to provide these lands are Tamil Nadu (9981 hectares); Madhya Pradesh (5862.81 hectares); Uttar Pradesh (5630.678 hectares); Haryana (5148.582 hectares); Bihar (4774.014 hectares) and Rajasthan (4124.798 hectares).
