Larsen & Toubro won the best product award for its new air circuit breaker -- U-POWER Omega – in the category of “Overall Best Product by an Indian Exhibitor” at ELECRAMA 2010. The new air circuit breaker is a highly compact unit for switching, protection and control functionality on the Low Voltage (LV) distribution network, usually employed for high current, high power applications.
It adds reliability and intelligence to ensure continuity of supply without compromising on safety of personnel and installation.
The air circuit breaker has been developed with focus on superior performance, safety, reliability, energy efficiency and environment friendliness. Breakthrough technology with multiple innovations (8 patents) has helped U-POWER Omega become the most compact ACB in the world, thus saving material and energy. U-POWER Omega incorporates one of the most intelligent protection & control units “Matrix”. All these features come in only three frame sizes for entire LV current range of 400A to 6300A with modular architecture that can be field-upgraded anytime. In addition, it offers a wide range of accessories for versatile applications, various safety interlocks and customer friendly features.
