Delhi-based realty major Unitech Ltd, has announced sales worth approximately Rs4,000 crore. This includes sales of 10.11 million sq ft, across more than 30 projects launched by the company since March this year, with a saleable area of 21.3 million sq ft.
The company said that it sold residential units worth Rs2,639 crore during this period, accounting for nearly 80% of the volumes, while non-residential projects clocked sales of approximately Rs1,274 crore.
The figures are a reflection of the improved market scenario especially in the housing segment, which has shown steady improvement since April, largely due to interest rate cuts and the thrust on affordable homes.
Unitech, is developing more than 60 projects across 10 cities, and aims to deliver 32 million sq ft of area over the next three years. In addition to its focus on low-cost housing, the company also plans to develop 1,500 units every year in the mid-income category.
