A global environment conference on Climate Change: Risks, Challenges and Solutions begins today (Oct 10-12, 2009) at the Hotel Leela Kempinski, Trivandrum. Nick Herbet, MP and Shadow Secretary for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, House of Commons, United Kingdom will inaugurate the Conference and present the 10th Annual Greentech Environment Excellence Awards 2009.
Disclosing this in a press note, Kamleshwar Sharan, president, Greentech Foundation, a New Delhi based not for profit organisation and the event organiser said expert speakers from India, USA, Germany, United Kingdom, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, China will speak on various issues of important topics and issues on Global Climate Change.
Kerala based Binani Zinc, Hindustan Life Care and Rajeev Gandhi Combined Cycle Power Project are likely to win awards Environmental Excellence. Select companies who have done excellent work across India will also be given Environmental Excellence Awards.
