Lafarge Boral Gypsum India (LBGI) recently rolled out the LaGyp Hall of Fame campaign in Mumbai through a workshop around innovation in interiors. This is the first such workshop in the city hosted as a part of the LaGyp Hall of Fame campaign in India as a part of the Global Lafarge Campaign for Architects.
As a part of this program the Company will be organizing a series of workshops across various cities to share knowledge with the architects about the LaGyp gypsum board solutions.
Speaking about this initiative Oliver Chaudet, CEO LBGI said, “The Lafarge Global Architect Campaign is an endeavor by Lafarge to collaborate with architects world over in order to boost innovations and affordable green solutions in the construction domain and to cater to various concerns therein. We hope to engage the professionals in a series of activities that would be beneficial to the Indian construction industry.”

Lafarge Boral Gypsum is the first company to launch this initiative in India and the first workshop was held in Delhi in August. Lafarge as a leader in building materials has innovations and sustainable construction at the top of the agenda and works closely with architects globally. In 2009 India is one of the 4 countries where Lafarge has focused its campaign.
The LaGyp workshop in Mumbai was an interactive session showcasing innovation with gypsum boards. The workshops also rolled out the nomination process inviting architects to discover the group innovations on the occasion of BATIMAT – the world’s biggest international showcase of innovative and sustainable building materials where Lafarge is having a major presence, to be organized in Paris in November where Lafarge has a major presence.
Four deserving architects from India will be nominated to attend the event at the invitation of Lafarge. Nomination kits were provided at the workshops to all aspirants. Post final evaluation of various criteria, 4 architects will be selected to attend the Paris event.
