Project Management Institute (PMI) has entered into a (MoU) with the National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR) to explore opportunities to support development and advancement of project management in education.
As per the MoU, both parties will exchange knowledge, information and data that would be beneficial to the project management community and provide opportunities for project management practices and methodologies produced by their respective organisations.
This joint collaboration will support project management advocacy and research. In addition it will also support joint seminars besides collaboration for case studies and events. NICMAR & PMI also plan to take this relationship forward by having twin certificate programs and PMI global accreditation of some of the project management focused courses of NICMAR.

Commenting on the partnership, Raj Kalady, managing director, PMI said: “The MoU is PMI’s initiative to work closely with academic institutions with an aim to nurture highly skilled project management professionals across industry verticals.”
Dr Mangesh Korgaonker, director general, NICMAR said: “This MoU is a significant achievement, emphasizing synergy between an institution propagating project management and us. PMI, can definitely provide us with advantages in terms of developing our project management programs.”
