Sarda forays into FMS

Sarda Group has forayed into real estate management segment by taking over asset and facility management brand Talbot and Company in India.

This acquisition is expected to help the company make headway in facilities management services, according to Ghanshyam Sarda, chairman, Sarda Group.

Sarda Group will customise Talbot’s solutions to suit the Indian market.

The company’s main interests are jute mills, chemical and IT businesses in the USA. It is primarily focused on marine software solutions to major liners.

Currently, Talbot and Co operate from Kolkata and employ 50-60 people. Sarda hopes to increase this to 1,000, and is targetting a turnover of Rs300 crore  by 2010.
