Anil Dhirubhai Ambani-owned Reliance Power (RPower) has introduced a unique system that uses a set of high resolution cameras to beam live feed of project activities from the site to the corporate office.
The model allows top management to watch real-time developments in its projects, sitting at the company headquarters.
The new system uses a set of high resolution cameras that could be operated remotely using the computer mouse.
The positioning of the cameras is such that it could be zoomed-in and zoomed-out covering the entire project site.

The company top management could operate the system from their offices away from project areas and could even pass instructions to project managers in case some discrepancy is identified.
Apart from cost savings, RPower is also looking at the system for making its employees more responsible. With the system providing round the clock footage to top bosses about project activities, it is expected to exert psychological pressure on employees to perform.
Project implementing agencies would also be under pressure to perform as their bluff could be recorded by the camera.
