Schwing Stetter India is planning to invest Rs6 crore in a training centre in Hyderabad for engineers and operators of its products like batching plants and ready-mix concrete (RMC) trucks.
The proposed centre will be built on two acres of land, once acquired, and another six months to install the machinery. It expects to get it ready within a year.
This apart, it will set up one such centre each in Pune or Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi. Six more will come up at others places in phases. The centres will also offer overhauling services.
Schwing Stetter India is focusing on increasing production space at its manufacturing plants from the present 22% to 34%. Recently, the company launched SP 1400, a new concrete pump with remote control facility priced at Rs17 lakh.
