Jindal to set up 2,000 MW power plant

The Jindal Group has announced its intention to set up a 2,000 MW power plant near Simar port, along the coastline of Gujarat. The power plant will entail an investment of Rs10,000 crore.

The company has already identified the land and the group has applied for various approvals for the power plant in Gujarat. Work will commence soon after the approvals come. The power plant is expected to get commissioned within three years after commencement of work.
